PURI RECIPE

Ingredients

-Plain flour 1 cup


-Self raising flour 2 cups
-Sugar 1 tsp
-Cooking oil 2 tbsp
-Oil for frying
-Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

-In a bowl mix together plain flour, self raising flour, salt, sugar and oil.
-Gradually add water and knead till a smooth dough is formed.
-Cover and leave aside the dough to rise.
-Brush each ball of puri with oil or dip a corner of ball in melted ghee or oil.
-Roll out each ball into 4 to 5 inches round.
-Heat oil in a wok and fry the puris, press the puri with a steel spoon while frying so that it will swell up like a ball.
-Place the puri on an absorbent paper and serve.
